Lifesaver!

My wife and I worked directly with Matt to resolve huge problems our child was having at school. We had worked with (and spent a lot of money on) a prior lawyer and he didn't seem to understand our son and how to help us. Based on the recommendation of another family we met with Matt -- he seemed to ...'get it' and suggested a different approach. First he helped us better understand what our son actually needed and what we could demand for him. Then he worked with the school and got our son in a better place.

strong legal support

As parents we did all we could do advocating for our child (always attending IEP meetings, working with our child outside of school, communicating with teachers/therapists) but it came to the point where we needed legal intervention to interpret the law in relation to our child's IEP. Matt and Team ...are experts and we are thankful for the work they did on behalf of our child.

A terrific Special Ed lawyer

Matt Cohen represented my wife and I and our daughter in a four and half year litigation with our school district and did a superb job. The district was very difficult--mediation failed, we won the first administrative hearing, they won the appeal hearing, then we went to federal court and the distr...ict ultimately agreed to a huge settlement after we received very favorable rulings from the judge. All along the way, we found Mr. Cohen to be very accessible at all times, very understanding of the anguish we were going through, very knowledgeable of the law, and very skillful in the way he managed the case. We could not have asked for a better lawyer.

Shouldn't be an law advocate for kids

We spent 10,000 with Matt. Then we got a new lawyer and we never understood why we weren't getting any results before, we just thought that's how it works: with Matt, we would get a 2 minute phone call, 2 minutes before he was to present as our lawyer, he didn't do much or say much and wouldn't remem...ber any details about something he's been working on for a good while. (Come on, at least have your paralegal summerize before you call!, That is LAZY). We would get a few short emails, very little accomplished on our case and boom massive bill. With our new lawyer; he's accomplished more than Matt has in less than a tenth of the time. He doesn't charge a hundred dollars for a one sentence pointless unsolicited email or anything like Matt did.
