M. Reasor Bowman

Honored twice with the Super Lawyer Rising Star award and recognized extensively for his success both in the courtroom and at the negotiation table, M. Reas Bowman represents clients in a range of cases with a focus on commercial litigation and commercial foreclosures. In these matters, Reas draws on his deep and detailed knowledge of complex legal issues. He combines that expertise with his tough but fair approach at trial or in arbitration to achieve the best results for his clients. Reas’ cases include contested mortgage and mechanics lien foreclosures, as well as disputes involving construction contracts, notes, guaranties, employment agreements, and commercial leases.

Whether he’s representing a big bank against a corporate borrower to prove the borrower made major missteps so as to win a multi-million dollar judgment for his client, or convincing the City of Chicago to forego any fines or levies against a commercial lender foreclosing on a distressed property, Reas understands every angle of a matter to win the day for those he counsels. His years of experience serve both his clients and his practice very well.

Reas has earned a stellar reputation as a successful appellate litigator, arguing before the Sixth and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, handling dozens of appeals since joining Kluever & Platt in 2009. Before he joined the firm, Reas practiced complex class action litigation in a variety of appellate, federal, and state court jurisdictions. These actions involved securities fraud, consumer fraud, RICO, breach of contract, breach of warranty, common fund doctrine claims, and product liability claims.

An avid photographer, Reas has been known to use his camera skills to volunteer as the photographer at charitable events for non-profits.
