Biography
Kristen is a true client advocate who looks at each case as its own unique story. Utilizing common sense and creativity, Kristen is able to obtain favorable results for her clients, in and out of the courtroom.
Kristen began her career at Kamerlink, Stark, McCormack & Powers, L.L.C. as a law clerk in 2009, and was named an associate in 2010 after receiving a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, Kristen received the prestigious CALI award for academic excellence in her Advanced Family Law Trial Advocacy Class. Prior to joining the firm., Kristen interned in the policy division at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
Kristen graduated from Miami University in Ohio, cum laude, in 2007, where she received a B.A. in Political Science, with minors in European Area Studies and History. As part of her B.A. program, Kristen studied abroad in Luxembourg.
As a native Chicagoan, Kristen stays involved in her community as a member of various civic foundations. Kristen was a chosen presenter at the Eat Well, Live Well, Move More 2nd Annual Conference on Improving Health, presented by Building a Healthier Chicago, and has been invited to co-host a divorce planning seminar at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Kristen assisted in drafting the second edition of the Child Custody chapter for the Illinois State Bar Association’s Family Law Handbook.
