Heidi L. Wickstrom joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2018 and was promoted to Partner in 2023. She concentrates her legal practice on catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and mass torts. She has obtained a number of noteworthy verdicts and settlements, including a record-breaking $20 million settlement with the Chicago Transit Authority. In her time with the firm, she has recovered more than $425 million on behalf of her clients.
In 2024, Ms. Wickstrom was part of a trial team that won a $79.85 million jury verdict for a young girl who suffered a brain injury and severe physical injuries at birth, requiring lifelong care. She was also part of a trial team that won a $50.3 million jury verdict on behalf of a child who suffered a severe and permanent brain injury due to a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of hypoxia before his birth. In 2019, she secured a $20 million settlement on behalf of a woman who sustained a life-changing injury following two car accidents and a surgical complication.
Prior to joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., Ms. Wickstrom was an associate at a prominent New York litigation firm, where she assisted partners in obtaining numerous multi-million-dollar recoveries, including a $15.7 million verdict against Consolidated Edison of New York and $10 million and $5.4 million verdicts for plaintiffs in cases against the New York City Transit Authority.
Ms. Wickstrom graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 with degrees in Communication Studies and Film and Video Studies before attending Syracuse University College of Law. During law school, she served on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Society and worked as an intern at a boutique personal injury law firm.
Ms. Wickstrom is highly involved in the American Association for Justice, where she was elected to the Board of Governors in 2020. She has served as chair of the Professional Negligence Section and remains active in several AAJ sections and groups. She has also lectured for multiple trial lawyer organizations and written articles published in AAJ’s Trial Magazine. From 2008 to 2018, she served as AAJ’s New York Regional Chair for the Student Trial Advocacy Competition.
She is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, where she sits on the Board of Managers, the Illinois State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. Outside of work, she enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling, exploring the city, and spending time with her dog, Jack.
