Eric Samuel Prezant

 

Eric Prezant heads Bryan Cave's commercial restructuring group in Chicago, and regularly represents lenders and troubled companies throughout the country in commercial restructurings, workouts, loan enforcement actions, Chapter 11 bankruptcies, Article 9 sales, foreclosure sales, receiverships, and similar proceedings. He also regularly represents buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of distressed assets.  Eric's banking and lending experience includes representing financial institutions and borrowers in structuring, negotiating and documenting commercial loan transactions, including asset-based loans, senior and mezzanine debt, acquisition financing and bankruptcy exit financing in various industries, including manufacturing, distribution, real estate, health care, and many other industries. Eric was named by The Deal magazine as one of the nation’s Top Bankruptcy Attorneys in 2007, and has been named an Illinois SuperLawyer in 2011.  He was previously named an Illionios SuperLawyer Rising Star in 2009 and 2010.  Eric is regularly invited by commercial trade associations, state bar associations, universities, and continuing legal education providers to lecturer on the topics of commercial workouts, Chapter 11 bankruptcies, lending to troubled companies, purchases and sales of distressed assets, and enforcement of creditor’s rights.
