In October 2011 I filed a petition for a DNA test in Cook County. A girl I knew, that I was never married to, had just had a baby and I suspected the baby might be my child. The mother had lawyer'd up already. They even refused the court order to even do the DNA test. I found out in December 2011 tha...t I was the father! At that time I knew it was a girl. That's about it. I didn't know if the child was healthy, what her name was, if she was healthy, I didn't even know what she looked like. The mother refused to give me any information. Bryan and his team spent weeks getting fully prepared for trial. He had a focus like a laser. Covering every imaginable angle, consulting with me over the smallest details. The day of trial we were ready for 3 days of a sure to be a messy trial. He even brought in 2 of his associates from his legal team (at no charge) to be sure we had the best possible representation. The first day of trial the Judge suggested before we begin that the lawyers have a conference in chamber. Bryan agreed, but felt it might be a waste of time. He agreed to go to chamber and said "be back in 5 minutes." After about an hour and a half they all came back out of chambers. To my amazement, because Bryan was so well prepared and had a clear vision of the timeline of this case, he was able to explain the pertinent points of the case to the judge. Basically when the Judge got back to her bench, she said though she cannot legally pre-determine the case, she was going to recommend we settle on the spot. She recommended the father should get residential custody and a very liberal parenting schedule. By the end of that very day we had a complex parenting agreement done and signed by both sides and the Judge. Had Bryan not been so well prepared, knowledgeable and professional there would have been no way he could have swayed the Judge so dramatically. Needless to say I now have custody and I have Bryan and his team to thank for cementing me in our daughter's life forever. Priceless!!!!
