Honestly can't stop recommending John enough. I am a white collar worker - fairly senior in my organization, an immigrant in this country and have been extra careful not to get on the wrong side of the law (not even a speeding ticket) for close to a decade. However, sometimes things happen. And glad ...I luckily got hold of John - recommended by another lawyer since John was local to the county where my case was recorded. Unlike other lawyers, John did not treat me like a case number but a human being - him being very realistic at all times, discussing various possibilities and outcomes and how the outcome of the cases affects my life and my families presence in this country. I am indebted and extremely grateful to John since he could actually get both my criminal cases dismissed - the second case being the outcome of me opening my mouth and speaking to cops thinking they were there to help me. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse but being an immigrant these mistakes almost ended costing me dearly. John understood my case well and his guidance helped greatly. My 2 cents - don't get into trouble since lives get destroyed, you lose your dignity and the anguish and mental drain for self and family is indescribable. Please see a doctor when you are sick, consult a psychiatrist when having mental issues and work with John when you have a case - I did all three, got my cases dismissed and now looking forward to working with John to get the records expunged. I had a criminal felony charge from my young adult years that I pleaded down to a misdemeanor and another stand-alone misdemeanor. I now live out of state and called 6 other attorney offices to chose the attorney which I felt could best help me seal or expunge my record. After being told by 6 differe...nt attorneys that the best I could hope for was to seal the cases, due to my felony arrest, I finally got in contact with JohnPaul. He explained that he believed he could get everything expunged from the court's system and the only issue would be the police's arrest system because they operate by different mandates (I guess...?), but that the arrests would still be sealed in their system. He claimed he had a good working relationship with the judge who would be handling the case and felt this was our best course of action. At first, I thought this was lawyer talk to get a client to commit but he sounded confident in our initial talk so I thought it was at least worth a shot. In his first attempt, the expungement was denied due to the police rejecting it or something (like he said may happen). We had the decision to either accept sealing all my arrests/convictions or go back to the judge and explain my case to have everything expunged. I thought this may be lawyer talk for, "give me more money for more work", and I was about to accept the sealing when JohnPaul said, and I'll never forget this, "I think we should go forward with trying to get the cases expunged completely. The case was assigned to a new judge and this will give me a good opportunity to feel them out. You aren't going to be charged if you chose to go forward with having the cases expunged and I highly recommend this course of action." I was sold and a week later I received the good news that the new judge had granted ALL of my cases to be completely expunged from the court's systems. Letters were promptly sent to the arresting police department to follow suit within 60 days. As the title explains, he set a much higher bar than ANY attorney I had spoken with and then continued to impress by going above and beyond the call to action. I plan on referring any friends and family who could use his service to this man. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, hard-working attorney who keeps his client's best interest in mind, instead of his own pocketbook, then this is the man you are looking for. John Paul recently represented my 18 year old son in a cannabis related case. He struck exactly the right chord with my son from our first meeting by thoroughly explaining the process and the long term ramifications of the matter.
