A Joliet native, Corey Mathers blends a strong technical background with focused legal practice. After graduating Joliet West High School in 1988, he studied physics at Carleton College (BA, 1992) and the University of Iowa (MS, 1996) before earning his law degree at Northwestern in 2005. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2008 and has operated a solo practice ever since. His early career included a technical team lead role at Lucent Technologies (1997) and product management at Apropos Technology (1999). Throughout his pivot to law he continued to lead startups as general manager, where his quantitative mindset enhances strategy, contracts, and risk analysis. Married to his college sweetheart with two young sons, he is a devoted supporter of Chicago’s Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks.
