Mark R. Farrow graduated summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University, where his exceptional writing earned him the English Department’s annual Orville Baker Award for Excellence in Writing—an honor presented to only one student each year. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1989. During law school, he distinguished himself as a member of the National Moot Court Team and was recognized with the Rickert Award for excellence in moot court.
Following law school, Mark served as an Appellate Law Clerk to Justice Carl A. Lund (retired), gaining valuable insight into appellate procedure and judicial reasoning. After completing his clerkship, he began practicing law in Naperville in 1991. In 2002, he joined Fay & Farrow, where his work increasingly focused on family law matters. Two years later, in 2004, he became a partner in the firm.
Mark’s approach to family law is shaped not only by decades of trial experience but also by his personal perspective as a father, stepfather, and someone who has gone through the divorce process himself. His clients appreciate his intelligence, meticulous preparation, and balanced outlook. These qualities, combined with his calm and reasoned demeanor, often help to ease the emotional strain clients feel during challenging family transitions.
Throughout his career, Mark has remained committed to the legal community and public service. He is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Will County Bar Association. In addition, he is certified to serve as both a Child’s Representative and an Arbitrator in DuPage County, reflecting his dedication to resolving disputes with fairness and integrity. Beyond his legal work, Mark contributes to his local community as President of the Pheasant Glen Homeowners Association, where he helps promote collaboration and constructive problem-solving among residents.
Mark brings both professional skill and human understanding to every case, offering clients the guidance and clarity they need during some of life’s most difficult moments.

I would highly recommend this Lawyer
Mark is a very professional and compassionate lawyer, who took the time to understand my unique issues and represent me in a fair yet assertive manner during my difficult divorce. I encountered multiple complexities as a working female (custody issues, restraining orders, temporary support requests)...
"I endorse Mark Farrow. He is highly regarded in our legal community, and he does a caring job for his clients."
"I enjoy working with Mark on many cases and I find him to be a zealous opponent with a reasonable mind to handle the difficult cases."
