Denice A. Gierach

Denice A. Gierach is a business and estate planning lawyer with more than 30 years of experience representing business owners in the formation, franchising, and dissolution of businesses; contract negotiation and reviews; business litigation; partnership disputes, succession planning; commercial real estate; and aiding individuals in matters of advanced estate planning, and charitable giving.

She also leads her firm’s YourOGC program providing Outsourced General Counsel services to small and medium size businesses to assist them in preventing legal issues, providing proper planning for reaching goals, and insight into issues preventing them from further success.

As a Certified Public Accountant with a master's degree in Management from Northwestern University, Ms. Gierach also practices in the areas of Income Taxation, Federal Estate Taxation, and varied Real Estate Law.

She is also an experienced Estate Planning attorney who specializes in complicated, and high-end estates. She provides full planning services including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, business succession plans, and other needed items that help avoid probate and unnecessary taxes, as well as making sure clients wishes are fulfilled properly.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Ms. Gierach began her career in accounting working for several CPA firms in Chicago. She then worked for a law firm in Chicago for almost 10 years at the start of her legal career. For almost 20 years, she practiced as Gierach & Associates and then founded the Gierach Law Firm to provide better service to her clients.

Ms. Gierach has provided a wide array of legal services to individuals and small and mid-sized companies. As the previous owner of several businesses herself, including a manufacturing company and real estate development company, she provides a well-rounded view to clients about business issues across many areas.

She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, and Arizona State Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Arizona and practices before the Illinois circuit courts, Illinois Appellate Court, Federal Tax Court, Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals for the Federal Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Chicago area-based newspaper The Business Ledger, named Denice Gierach as one of 20 "Influential Women in Business.”

Ms. Gierach has contributed to several publications over the years including the Naperville Sun and The Business Ledger. COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES

As an engaged member of her community, Ms. Gierach was an active member of the Exchange Club and Rotary Club of Naperville for many years. She also previously served as the Director for the Heritage YMCA, as President and Director of the Naperville Area Humane Society, and as Director and Chair of the Board for the DuPage Community Foundation. She is a current member of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
