I was recommended by a family member for divorce attorney and I was led into a money trap. She does not communicate very well and charges an excessive amount of time for 1 or 2 simple emails. Engagement agreement stated I would receive quarterly statements on what I was being billed on and never re...ceived anything until the case was closed which was 8 months. She charges way too much for court appearances and is very slow at processing responses to the other lawyer and made this case drag out. I though it was my ex wife and her attorney dragging this divorce case out. Turns out it was my attorney just milking the cow for more money. My divorce case had no parental agreement, no kids, no retirements, assets were already divided, and all we had to agree on was the house which was fairly easy and she charged an insane amount of time to review simple paperwork that took me 5 minutes or less to review. She even charges for a consultation when she is the one suppose to be convincing me of hiring her. Once I did I was there for 5 minutes for paperwork. She charged me 1 hour for that. I would highly recommend not using her for litigation. She is very slow, non-communicative, and bills way too high for services rendered. Find a better attorney.
