Robert J. Schillerstrom

Bob Schillerstrom is a partner in Ice Miller's Public Affairs and Public & Municipal Finance Groups. Schillerstrom counsels the Firm's clients on matters relating to government including: community relations, public affairs, strategic public policy development, real estate tax issues and zoning related matters. Schillerstrom further represents governments regarding their public finance needs; he works as a team with other lawyers at Ice Miller as bond counsel, underwriters counsel and disclosure counsel on all types of public borrowing.  Schillerstrom also represents governments in their relationships with other governments. 

In 2015, Governor Bruce Rauner appointed Bob Chairman of the Illinois Toll Highway Authority Board, which oversees the state's 286 mile tollway system with its $1.3 billion annual budget. The board also sets policy for the operation, maintenance and construction of Illinois tollroads. Bob previously served three terms as chairman of the DuPage County Board. As Chairman, Schillerstrom earned a reputation for reducing property taxes, lowering county property taxes nine out of 12 years, and consistently doing more for the taxpayers of DuPage County with less money.  

Bob has been an active figure in DuPage County, Ill. politics for three decades regularly holding leadership positions in local and county governments and in the Republican Party where he consistently advocated to reduce the cost of government.   - See more at: #
