#lawyersbreaklaws SCOTT SALENKO

I can’t believe Scott Salenko is allowed to be an attorney. I did not hire him. He represents the opposing party in civil case. His client was actively violating the court orders for years. I spoke with him several times about it and he ignored the issue. I told him HOW CAN YOU REPRESENT A CLIENT WHO... IS VIOLATING A COURT ORDER EVERY WEEK? YOU FILED THAT COURT ORDER?!?! he should be disbarred. I asked - how can you allow your client to deny me visits? For years, his client denied me visits with my son. He knew about it, and actively allowed it to happen. I asked him to speak with his client about this, with all feelings aside, and tell her it’s wrong to violate the court order and deny visits. He refused to do that, and constantly tried to say I was a bad person when in reality he never once has met me. I did everything I could for my son, until My ex denied visits and Scott did nothing about it. 10 years passed and still has done nothing. Bad man. Bad heart. Don’t hire.#lawyerbreakslaw

It is true that I was successful in keeping this dangerous man away from his wonderful son. I represented the mother of the child and she has done an amazing job raising him with no help from his father. I still hear from her from time-to-time almost a decade after the case ended. The child is now nearly an adult and still wants nothing to do with his dad. The lack of self-awareness and personal responsibility displayed in this "review" is the exact reason he has no relationship with his son. I am proud of how I handled this case and truly believe that this child is better off today because of the work I did.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
