Miguel Angel Fernandez

Miguel Ángel Fernández is a young, bilingual, intelligent, articulate, hard-working, Cuban-American attorney.  He has focused his legal practice in the area of real estate transactions for the last five years, helping thousands of clients buy, sell and invest in their homes and businesses.

Miguel recently joined Judd Lofchie, LLM, P.C., as Senior Associate, where he continues to build his real estate law practice.  Judd Lofchie, LLM, P.C. is a general practice law firm with over 30 years of experience handling diverse legal matters, including, including civil litigation, bankruptcy, family law, estate planning, corporate/LLC formation, and non-profit organization law.  Prior to joining Judd Lofchie, LLM, P.C., he practiced for over 3 years with one of the largest Hispanic bilingual law firms in the Northwest suburbs and one of the most respected law firms in the Chicagoland area.

Miguel is licensed to practice law in the states of Florida and Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.  He has practiced law in the State of Illinois for more than 11 years in the areas of real estate, estate planning, probate, general civil litigation, medical malpractice litigation, insurance coverage and e-discovery/document review.  He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Miguel graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 2003.  While in law school, he worked in the Criminal/Juvenile Justice Project at the Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, representing underprivileged youths who had been charged with criminal activity.

Miguel also obtained his real estate broker’s license in Illinois in November 2015, and he is a practicing real estate broker with HomeSmart Connect in Arlington Heights, Illinois.  His experiences as a real estate broker enable him to better communicate with brokers as an attorney and serve his clients.  He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Illinois Association of Realtors, the Realtor Association of the Fox Valley, and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.

Miguel is also active in his local church, and he recently joined the Knights of Columbus, the world’s foremost Catholic fraternal benefit society.
