This guy doesn’t even deserve a speck of a star saying he did a good job because that would be a lie. He did absolutly nothing but take my money and tell me not to worry about a thing . I tried to reach out to him numerous times and he very rarely got back with me . I drove all the way to Chicago fro...m the southern tip of Illinois in hopes he could set aside ten minutes of his time to have a sit down conversation with me and he couldnt even do that . He was my lawyer that did nothing but go to court and get three continuances for our case and stood by my side for one court hearing in the beginning other than that NOTHING. I wasn’t about to put out any more money so he withdrew from being my lawyer . The first month I had this new lawyer I got more done than the entire 10 months he was with us. Maybe he is a descent human being outside of work but he is one of the absolute worst lawyers I’ve had the pleasure of meeting . If you want a lawyer that is actually compassionate about his work and truly cares for his clients then you should definitely look elsewhere.

This guy is terrible. He screwed up my divorce so bad that I had to fire him in court and find myself a more competent attorney. That was easy since nobody is as bad as he is. All he was worried about is his retainer. Every time we go to court things were just getting worse. When I asked him why, he ...tells me that's the way the judge decided. Most of the time things were handled in the chamber of the court room and I had no clue what is going on in there. Jim always came out with more bad news until I hired the new attorney and things were turning around for me. Best move I ever made in my 4 year divorce. Turned out great for me!

I hired attorney Podgorny for my divorce. He was very understanding of my financial situation and reduced his rate from $350.00 per hour to $200.00 per hour. He kept me up to date on all matters and even let me know when it was necessary or not necessary for me to be in court. He carefully explain...ed his strategy toward the case and was even accurate in stating we would "win some of the battles and lose some of the battles of the case, but the idea was to win the overall war." He was always prompt to court, knew the law and remained professional in and out of the court room. When the case was finished, he kept his word and refunded the unused money in my retainer. I highly recommend him.
