Replied last September 13, 2017First, to protect the confidentiality of your case, if you have any issues with regard to documents sent to other parties in negotiation of your case, we should speak privately about them, rather than on a public forum, such as Avvo. Second, it seems you are concerned about a scriveners error in a pleading I filed on your behalf. My apologies for such; rest assured, it does not materially affect your case, and mistakes happen, as attorneys are human too. Also, as previously discussed, I did not charge you in any respect for the pleading you are complaining about. Third, I would never send a paralegal to step up in court on my behalf, as it is against the law for non-lawyers to appear in court as a lawyer; any associate attorney of mine would do exactly what I would have done in court if I had been there myself. It is sometimes necessary to send associates to cover, rather than neglecting your case entirely. Thank you for expressing your concerns.
