Jacob Cory Lawson

J.C. is an Associate Attorney at Cortina, Mueller & Frobish. He was raised in Grundy County and graduated from Morris High School in 2005. He then attended business school at Loyola University Chicago where he graduated cum laude with degrees in Finance and Marketing in 2009.

J.C. went on to attend the John Marshall Law School in Chicago (J.D. 2013). During law school, he worked for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and served as a judicial law clerk for the Grundy County judges. In January of 2012, J.C. began interning as a 7/11 law clerk for the Grundy County State’s Attorney’s Office where he aided in the prosecution of both misdemeanor and felony criminal cases.

Upon passing the Illinois Bar Exam in February 2013, J.C. began working Cortina, Mueller & Frobish, P.C. where he has developed an extensive practice in real estate transactions, business and corporate matters and disputes, workers' compensation claims, and personal injury cases.
