Joseph A. Namikas

Joe joined Chuck Bretz & Associates in 2008.  Prior to joining Chuck Bretz & Associates, P.C., Mr. Namikas practiced law in Chicago, Illinois as well as in the surrounding counties.  Mr. Namikas is a trial attorney whose practice is concentrated in the the prosecution of civil litigation matters including personal injury and product liability cases.  He represents clients in both State and Federal courts as well as before administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals.  Mr. Namikas has over 28 years of litigation and appellate experience and has tried over 60 civil jury cases to verdict.  He has successfully argued cases before the Illinois Appellate Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.

Mr. Namikas received his Bachelor and Law degrees from Northern Illinois University.  While in law school, Mr. Namikas received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law.  He was also a member of and a Research and Topics Editor for the N.I.U.C.O.L Law Review.

Mr. Namikas was admitted to practice in the State of Illinois in 1985, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1986, the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit in 1986 and the United States Supreme Court in 2010.  He is also a member of the U.S. District Court Trial Bar.

Mr. Namikas is of Lithuanian descent and both speaks and writes Lithuanian fluently.
