Really she charged to look for mistakes in divorce settlement charged 3000.00 then told me nothing is wrong and you owe me 300.00 more. I looked at the settlement and found 3 mistakes myself. . My divorce was anything but peaceful with Dawn Underhill. Communication was horrible. Gave false promises. It’s all about money for this firm. They do not care about their clients. She even charges for paper that she prints documents on. Dawn had advised opposing counsel to stop paying me child sup...port and maintenance. She never set up my account through the child dispersement unit before advising the stop of payments. After doing some investigating with the circuit court Dawn checked on my divorce documents that I would be receiving direct payments from my ex not payment through the state. Instead of fixing the problem she said oh well. She also stated she didn’t know my finances. She had my pay studs, financial affidavit, tax returns. I am not sure what other documentation she needed. This was crippling to my finances as I was a stay at home mom for 11years before the divorce.The child support and maintenance payments are more money than my actual pay checks. I would save yourself the head ache and money. The whole experience with Dawn is horrible. She is very disrespectful and condescending. She throws around legal jargon without explanation. She will charge $100’s of dollars on fixing grammatical errors. Divorce is traumatizing to begin with and Dawn was no help on calming the situation.

the worst of the worst, she does not know what she is doing, in court she is like a fish out of water, did not keep me informed and did not return calls and was charged for things she didn't do she nickel and dime, and I had to pay for things she had to look up for stuff she didn't know, she is a was...te of money and I am still in the same situation and broke, beware! and had the nerve to run for judge, lord have mercy on the world soul.

I hired Dawn for a simple agreed upon Joint Parenting Agreement. I only needed her help in writing it legally, and submitting it. I found errors on every monthly statement where I was charged for services that didn't take place. I rarely received a returned phone call, and it only once came directly ...from Dawn. She filed court date upon court date for "status", but somehow this was dragged out for more than a year. I spent more than $15,000, and was always current on my bill, but she racked up $3,000 in the final month, which I was not prepared to pay all at once. She filed a judgment against me, and I never even received a copy of the parenting order signed by the judge from her. I had to go directly to the courthouse and get a copy on my own. Don't do it! Terrible experience.
