I am pleased that you stopped by to read my message. I have been a lawyer practicing in the area of family law (divorce) for about 23 years. I have represented both men and women in fairly straight forward matters, as well as highly contested cases. Having practiced in the suburban areas of Chicago has taught me that the majority of clients value:
* Efficienty;
* Experience; and
* Expertise
Money is at a premium, and clients seek rapid resolution of their contested matters. The most effective lawyers anticipate problematic issues and determine the most practical and cost-efficient approaches to resolving thorny matters before they grow out of control.
Clearly, this is a bad time for you. Whether you are bringing the action (petitioner), or defending a petition brought against you (respondent), you need experience...where it counts. Let me give you an idea as to what I mean by "experience." It is vital that you retain a lawyer who has appeared before the various judges in the Domestic Relations Division often, and who have a sense of what the judge wants, and if the particular judge is amenable to your theory of the case. Also, you cannot underestimate the value of having built up credibility before a particular judge and with colleagues who practice in the area of family law. Reputational excellence is what I call it. And believe me, "you gotta' have it!" There is nothing more valuable than a reputation for knowing the law, and for being reasonable in your requests before the court. Being given the benefit of a doubt is an earned asset, and smart lawyers guard it jealously.
What makes family law (divorce, support, and custody) matters so difficult are the emotions attending these cases. The actual rules and laws related to these matters are rather clearly defined. As a client you need a guide through the turmoil...not a cheerleader. You are paying for a subject-matter expert in the substance of the law, and the court procedures needed to obtain relief. I can promise you that I will give you my best hard-earned judgment and skill to help you through this difficult journey.

Business investment
My husband and I hired Attorney Watts to assist us in retrieving money back from a bad business investment. We were able to retrieve all of our money back, plus interest after Attorney Watts stepped in and handled the case.
