Let me begin by saying that divorce can be short and sweet; or drawn out over many years. Mine has been the latter, now approaching 11 years entailing pre- and post- decree litigation with complex family law dynamics. I am not wealthy; and there have been stretches where I have been Pro Se, mixed i...n between being represented by other attorneys (really bad ones - where I actually knew more than they did; and they probably hurt my situation).
