Empathetic, caring, knowledgeable

Mrs. Brennan was my attorney for post divorce issues. She listened to me and understood my needs and fought for me every step of the way. She is very knowledgeable and was dedicated to my case. I was kept up-to-date on issues and she was always available for questions I had. Highly recommend Mrs. Bre...nnan if you’re looking for an attorney who is knowledgeable, understanding, and who fights for their client.

Thoughtful, empathetic and sound advice

I am a lawyer myself but practice in another field of law. When I found I needed a divorce lawyer I was in the same position as anyone-I had to figure out how to choose a total stranger. I narrowed my search to DuPage and I interviewed another divorce lawyer before selecting Ms.Brennan. Where the oth...er struck me as glib, Ms. Brennan recognized the legal nuances in my case and was not reluctant to admit when she needed to verify the law. Moreover she struck precisely the correct balance between partisanship on my behalf and the independent judgment I knew I needed in dealing with my difficult ex-spouse. Her advice turned out to be correct in every instance. She also was available just to lend a sympathetic ear when I needed one. And finally, she paid attention to managing the cost of the case, not a small consideration for anyone, including me. I certainly recommend Ms. Brennan to anyone.

Consistent, reliable counsel catered to serving my best interests

Ms. Brennan was my appointed counsel after choosing the Abear Law firm to handle my divorce case. My case started in Nov 2013 and ended a year later. Even though I wasn't the petitioner, Ms. Brennan composed all the necessary documents for my case. My Ex's lawyer was extremely slow and unresponsiv...e and Ms. Brennan was the driving factor in getting my case to close. If it wasn't for Ms. Brennan constantly advocating the continued progress of the case it probably would have taken years! She was helpful and available most often on the same day I had a question. I felt like I was the only case she was working on, even though I'm sure she had many. She was also very patient explaining divorce topics that were completely foreign to me. Her main focus was my best interest in the case, she handled the case how I wanted her to. I wanted a fair divorce and she always took that into consideration and never pushed me too far for things that I didn't want to fight for. However, she did make sure that I was getting a fair deal and made sure I fully understood items I wanted to give up. If I was willing to fight over certain items in the case she was ready to fight for them. I trust her and therefore will continue to refer to her if any other issues regarding my divorce come up in the future.
