I am so glad I contacted Atlas Consumer Law and hired Attorney Nathan Volheim. I am recently widowed and felt very unfairly treated by a collection agency, but unsure of my rights. At first point of contact and throughout, I was treated with dignity and respect by Atlas Law- such an extreme change fr...om how I was treated by the collection agency which only exacerbated how poorly I was feeling about myself and feeling so bad about a $400 tuition bill in which I was having trouble finishing my payments and turned over to collections. The collection agency added obscure fees and was threatening me. Attorney Volheim reviewed my case after I sent him some scanned docs and advised me that I had a case. Sure enough, I did and the collection agency decided to settle in a short amount of time. We owned a home that was severely under water and we needed to get out from underneath it. We spoke with at least 4 different attorneys. Most said we wouldn't even qualify for a Bankruptcy and the others didn't really seem like they wanted to take me on as a client. Nathan (Nate) in first 10 minut...es of talking with him came up with a plan to surrender the home, pay a small settlement, and move on with a clean slate.
