People vs. Nsoni Mpulamasaka

Basically, Jed Stone is an excellent trial lawyer. If you want to try a case go with Jed Stone. He is not afraid. And will make the state work. But you have to be actively engaged in your case. Read the police reports and help him by pointing out errors. You never know which one is significant. If... you don't intend on going to trial..then still pick Jed. The fact that he always goes to trial increases your chances of a better plea deal. However, Jed is the guy you take to a fist fight not words...he hits hard until blood comes out...he doesn't hold back. Most people don't understand his "art of presenting and preserving the record" helps you even if you loose at trial. Almost all the cases he went to trial on and lost have been reversed on appeal. The state is no match for Jed. Most of the time the state simply settles. Jed took my case all the way to trial. Initially we lost but on appeal he made a good record which resulted in my case being overturned completely. Always share your thoughts about your case when you see him. Review the discovery (evidence) yourself point to him what is not right no matter how small. Send him out the their with correct information and watch the fight go down..win or loose..when it comes to trial he's a beast.

MISCONDUCT: Broke attorney-client privilege. Took money and didn't do anything for years

I hired Jed Stone to prepare an appeal to my wrongful conviction case. He took full payment upfront, promised me that he would get it done. Then I never heard back from him for months, I followed up every couple of months for 4 years. Every time, Jed gave me a runaround excuse that he was too busy in... court, that he would get to it as soon as possible. Then he asked his assistant to inquire with an organization regarding evidences from my case, the assistant disclosed my name and information to this organization without my knowledge or consent. They contacted the federal agents to investigate me as the result of this exchange. Not only did Jed Stone do nothing on my case, he caused me even more legal issues. He acted as if he is sympathetic to me and my wrongful convictions, in reality he could not care less about me or my constitutional rights. He was clearly aware that his action could cause me legal issues, and put my safety at risk. Someone like him should not be allowed to practice law. Misconduct aside, the way he practices business is truly unprofessional; there is no other professional services that can get away with taking clients' money and not fulfilling their end of the contract. I requested a refund after his misconduct and no-result, and I never got a response from him. I would not recommend anyone to consult or hire Stone, he lacks the basic human decency to be dealing with human's life.
