Gloria Virginia Mendoza Schmidt

I first hired Gloria in 2012 to defend me in an administrative case. The year after, I brought her my custody case and a few years later she won me sole custody for my kid. In between that time she handled criminal, traffic, and landlord/tenant issues for members of my family, negotiated an IEP for a... friend of mine who's son was having trouble at school, successfully fought a union agreement for a contractor that I hired, and even won an appeal with the unemployment office for my neighbor, which saved him about $10,000.00. She jokes that she handles "door law," or whatever walks through her door. But it's true, and she will figure out whatever you bring her and make calls and meet with colleagues and experts to cover all the bases. I met other lawyers who are afraid to go outside their area but I think because she's so used to handling so many different things she has the confidence to research and take on whatever you throw at her. She is super compassionate about people and her victories are very personal to her. She will look everywhere for ways to make things work for you. With my kid she kept making sure I didn't give up even though I was so fed up with my ex and with the judge. She worked with me on the finances and took a long payment plan for my custody case, although note she's not the cheapest lawyer on the block. She is tough as nails and will make sure you as the client stay on top of your game too. I had to testify in my case and I felt super prepared, and so where my witnesses, above and beyond my ex's. Her staff people are really nice too, very accommodating and professional. Overall an A+ experience. Within my family and my company she is our go-to attorney for life.
