John was recommended by a RE broker to handle a simple purchase of a 6 flat. There were some complications determning who the owner really was. As John and the broker dragged their feet, the inspection period lapsed, the selling broker is now refusing to return the deposit. I have called John every...day for a couple weeks. He screens his calls and refuses to answer. I called the broker to see if he could get in touch with John and two days later received a letter from John saying he talked to the broker and I should just settle with getting half the deposit back and it was my fault since I backed out of the contract. He fails to see that I backed out of the contract because of his urging. I also feel it is unethical to discuss my legal position with a broker and then send me a letter telling me what I should do and to basically don't bother him.

He helped me with a tough real estate deal that required a balloon note and dealing with some less than forthcoming people. He was able to help me protect my interests when their lawyer wasn't staying on top of the issues. I definitely plan to use John Ekonomou's services again - and not just for... real estate!
