Simply The Best!

It was a difficult decision for me to file bankruptcy and I must say that Stuart Swanson put my mind at ease by thoroughly reviewing my circumstances and all options with me. I knew right away at our first meeting that Mr. Swanson was a top-notch lawyer and I felt confident that I made the right deci...sion in filing my bankruptcy. Mr. Swanson is well organized and was very responsive to all of my inquiries. Additionally, the office staff was incredibly helpful. Overall I am very pleased with the service and attention to detail that my case received. Mr. Swanson is an outstanding lawyer with an excellent law firm!

Highest recommendation for Stuart Swanson and Cutler & Associate - Chapter 13, short sale/foreclosure situation

I was urged to consult an attorney while faced with owning two severely under water properties, having only been given useless and inaccurate advise and information from several so called mortgage and real estate professionals, including real estate lawyers. After consulting with several bankruptcy l...aw firms at the last minute - literally days before I was supposed to close on a short sale that I was actually bringing cash to and that would only dispose of one of the two properties, I was lucky to encounter Stuart Swanson. Stuart Swanson not only took the time to speak to me at great length on a Friday evening after business hours, he was able to arrange to meet me very early the next morning to thoroughly explain to me what my options were. All of this at no cost by the way! Of all the people I consulted, including bankruptcy law specialists, Mr. Swanson demonstrated the most knowledge not only of the short sale and foreclosure processes, but also about how such relate to bankruptcy law. It was amazing how much useless advice and information was out there, and I am thankful for the fact that I was able to meet Stuart and work with Cutler & Associates. Not only did I save over $5,000 that I was fully intending to bring to the closing of a short sale, where I was not being granted a deficiency waiver, I was able to dispose of both properties at once in a single Chapter 13 filing. Mr. Swanson explained to me the benefits of a 100% Chapter 13 plan, and how there was a provision in such where the filer can turn property over in lieu of the the 100% payment. It was the first I ever heard of this, but having had credit card debt build up significantly due to the mortgage and real estate tax payments, which I was then also behind on, I was able to file the 100% Chapter 13 plan which I just successfully completed after less than a year and a half. One of the benefits is that while I paid off all of my credit card debt 100%, I was able to stop the bleeding of the extremely high interest rates. This is hardly insignificant as I had over $32,000 in credit card debt at the time of filing (November 2011). The interest savings alone, coupled with the fact that I saved the $5,000 that would have been money thrown away, are two benefits of the 100% Chapter 13 plan. But more importantly, I was able to maintain all of my possessions and get the BK discharged early (upon paying off 100% of the claims) - which means I can get a head start on rebuilding my credit. I would have never though that Chapter 13 was an option for me, but thanks to Stuart Swanson and Cutler & Associates I was able to utilize the protections afforded to me under the plan to stop the bleeding and begin rebuilding my financial well being. Through out the process the staff at Cutler was simply amazing and helped me through all of what was a completely foreign process to me. I would highly recommend Mr. Swanson and Cutler & Associates to anyone who is in a situation where they are financially overwhelmed as I assure you that there is no legal professional who would have a better grasp of the wide range of options available as well as the ramifications of such.
