Completely satisfied. Excellent lawyer.

I hired Neil Good Janaury 2018 and I am completely satisfied. I am disabled and needed to apply for SS benefits. I met with Shawn Good January 2, 2018 to review my documents and start the application process. Shawn clearly explained the process and took the time to make sure I understood everythin...g. Shawn assured me the entire team would always be here to answer any questions and assist me going forward. Becoming disabled is very scary, thinking about the future is even scarier. Having the Good Law Group handle the process put my mind at ease. The support staff kept me very updated and assisted me anytime I had questions. My application was submitted and approved and I am so greatful to The Good Law Group. Thank you Neil, Shawn, and Ashley for all your help. I am truly grateful. I highly recommend The Good Law Group.

Stay Away

Every time I contacted the office I found the office staff to be rude and act like you are bothering them. They don't know who you are. One person on the phone told me a different answer then the person who answered my email. Another time I received a letter that my daughter needed to go to 2 differe...nt Dr. appoints set by social security, never heard otherwise from Mr. Good's office so we went to the appointments when we finished the 2 appointments I called Mr. Good's office to let them know and i kid you not the girl on the phone says "You didn't go did you?" Of course I did. One- I have nothing to hide and 2 you never said not to. When my daughter was awarded her back pay social security sent me the first installment by check I called Mr. Good and the VERY FIRST thing out of his mouth was "what, wait?! they sent you a check directly, they didn't send me my fee first" Yep, all he cared about was getting his money- not great she got it lets cross our t's and dot our i's. Because of that I paid Mr. Good directly. Because of that and because Mr. Good or his office couldn't be bothered to contact Social Security they withheld his fee from her second installment. Keep in mind this was 6 months and he never contacted social security. I paid him in December and they did not submit a fee waiver till June and only because I called if I hadn't Mr. Good would have been paid twice and his office told me that I was not being very pleasant (are you kidding me). Needless to say another 6 months has gone by (it has been over a year now) and she still has not received that money. The worse thing I did was hire this lawyer all he wants is his money doesn't care about anything else and him or his office could care less or acknowledge their mistakes.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
