About Duane
Biography
Leaving the farmlands of central Illinois, Duane graduated in 1973 from Southern Illinois University with Bachelor of Science Degrees in both Accounting and Finance. After a few years of practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Duane was awarded the Juris Doctor degree from the Illinois Institute Technology-Chicago Kent College of Law. Duane is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States Supreme Court.
Having received the coveted American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Procedure while in law school, Duane also pursed his interests in the field of forensic accounting and investigative techniques, surveillance, and security. Duane is a Licensed Private Detective by the State of Illinois.
Because of his accounting and legal background and sensitivity toward the vulnerable and unprotected, Duane was often appointed Guardian ad litem by the Cook County Probate Judges to represent minor children, the elderly, and disabled persons.
Establishing his law firm in Chicago and Palatine, Illinois, Duane represents clients in family law matters where he litigates diverse and sophisticated property and family law issues at the trial and appellate levels.
