Biography
Alan graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where he received his B.S.B.A. While at Georgetown, Alan served as an intern for United States Senator Bill Bradley.
Alan received his law degree from Loyola University of Chicago. In addition to being a lawyer, Alan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Alan's practice is focused on estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, elder law, medicaid planning, veteran's benefits, probate, and trust administration. Alan is a member of the The Illinois State Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association, the AICPA, Wealth Counsel and Elder Counsel.
In addition, he is the former Chair of the Committee on Legal Technology (COLT) and a member of the Trust and Estate Section Council for the The Illinois State Bar Association. Alan is frequently asked to write articles for Committee newsletters and he frequently speak at Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars for other lawyers.

After receiving a retainer, failed to return phone calls
Alan and his office failed to return our family's phone calls upon receiving his retainer and informed us that our case was likely not worth pursuing after we had already paid his office over a $1000.

Could not assist, but pointed me in the right direction!
Alan was not able to help, but he spent time pointing me in the right direction over the phone. He called back right away, and let me know what he felt would be best for my situation. If I have other services that fit the bill, I will use him.
