This attorney failed to in his fiduciary responsibilty to his elderly clients.

We hired Dennis to help us with our lawsuit in regard to their house. He encouraged continued litigation until his fee was over $450k which was twice the value of the house in litigation. He even advised us to take out a credit card loan for $36k to pay for the appeal. He put his own financial need...s ahead of the needs of his client. We repeatedly told Dennis that we needed the proceeds of the sale of the house to care for the indigent and mentally incapacitated sister. He ignored us. Dennis failed in his fiduciary responsibility to us. We relied on his legal expertise to help us make prudent decisions and he failed to act in our best interest. When we were under court order to sell the house below market value, that was when he filed a lien against the property. That is when he began to make extreme and unreasonable demands before he would release the lien. The other lawyers and judges in this case also stated that his demands were extremely unreasonable and that he was very difficult to work with. One of his demands was that we be barred from attending our own closing. He refused our request to be allowed to hand him his $250k check. He couldn't even stand looking us in the eye or even be in the same room with us when he took the $250k check. As a result of Dennis' lack of fiduciary responsibility, my mother has been forced to file bankruptcy and is facing foreclosure on her home of 25 years. The indigent sister was forced to go on Medicaid, because the entire proceeds went to pay his legal fees. Once she was on Medicaid she lost her will to live and died shortly thereafter.
