I have been calling attorneys all morning trying to get an idea of whether or not I even have a case and how I should pursue my (company's) clients unpaid invoices. We're a small company and its been difficult to navigate when you have very limited resources and its already been a challenging year. I retained this attorney to assist with post-judgment matters, including pursuing relief from existing judgments. While the initial engagement was straightforward, communication became limited over time, and I did not receive consistent updates regarding the status or progression of the case. Ulti...mately, there was a lack of clarity around what work had been performed relative to the billing that followed. In addition, I was not informed in a timely manner of changes in representation when the attorney transitioned firms, which added further uncertainty during an already time-sensitive matter. I recognize that legal proceedings can be complex and outcomes are never guaranteed. However, clear communication, transparency in billing, and proactive client updates are critical in matters of this nature.
