I am a sole practitioner in Libertyville, Illinois, and the majority of my practice involves representing individual debtors in bankruptcy and foreclosure actions. It is my experience that very few people want to file bankruptcy. However, when someone finds that circumstances beyond his control forces him to take this step, he needs a bankruptcy lawyer, who possesses both the compassion and the expertise to help him through this crisis.
I believe I can fill this requirement.
I have been filing bankruptcies, since I opened my office twenty years ago, and before I went into the private practice I had extensive experience in financial related matters that allow me to understand many of the problems that arise in bankruptcy. I am a CPA as well as an attorney, and I did work for a major international CPA firm, back when they were still known as the BIG Eight. I also served as an IRS agent in Chicago, and for fifteen years held the position of Director of Taxes for a multinational financial services corporation. I have taught business law in college and published a number of articles in well known legal publications.
