Took our money, stopped responding and never filed paperwork
I had hired Mr. Berndt to file my wife's immigration paperwork to apply for her new green card. We paid him a retainer and sent him a check for the fees. He never filed anything on our behalf, and stopped responding. He then finally told us he was taking care of it, and then stopped responding again....
