I was a stay at home mother for 13 years. My husband said he wanted a divorce, so I contacted the Matt Kaplan law firm where she worked and was assigned to her. I did not know that I was legally entitled to “my share” of 13 years. I had no idea how much that would impact my future. An extra 13 years of work now. I paid her to look out for me, but she didn’t because she doesn’t know what it’s like to be a stay at home mom. Even worse, I had to continue living in the same house with my ex-husband, awaiting sale of the home! After repeated assaults by him, I had to leave the home and live in hotels.
