Denis M. Gravel

This was not the easiest of cases but Denis and Tyler certainly delivered their best. I can't click enough stars for Denis and Tyler. Both worked extremely hard on my foreign judgement case and jurisdiction case. They were with me every step of the way and not once did I ever feel like they weren...'t doing their jobs. They always say "you get what you pay for..." I got so much more than what I paid for. I didn't realize when I hired Denis *30 MINUTES BEFORE MY HEARING* that I had just hired one of the best attorneys I've ever had. He ensured to call me before every hearing. He also ensured that he called me AFTER every hearing. Ensuring I understood what was said and to give me a chance to ask any questions I may have come up with while in the hearing itself. I can promise you, if you hire Denis, Tyler, or any other associate from this law firm, you WILL be in good hands. Denis and Tyler, thank you both so much for being so understanding and especially on my days when I was at a complete loss and didn't know where to turn or who to talk to.

When I first began working with Lindsay J. Roalfs ( Now at Denis Gravel) she came across as an intelligent , if not spunky individual whom I thought would benefit me in court. In my last court date , she showed up, but neglected to tell me she was leaving her firm that day!! I found out because the... old firm emailed me the following Monday to let me know she resigned! In spite of that I decided to continue with her at her new firm, even though I knew I had to pay a retainer again! I agreed to come all the way to the office in Gurnee from downtown to make a payment and sign paperwork. I had a question for the young "lady" who was behind the counter and proceeded to hand her my CC for payment. She then says we don't take credit cards. I responded that I had literally called the office 20 minutes ago and the person who answered assured me that they do take CC. She then walks off in a very unprofessional manor and states "he has a funky attitude" mind you there were clients and co-workers in the office all of whom could hear. Then my attorney Lindsay walks up and proceeds to berate me in public , in front of her staff, and clients ,like I am her 7 year old son. She screams (literally) at me to "get out of her office" that she "told me we don't take CC (what legitimate law firm doesn't take CC?) and I'm calmly trying to tell her fine I will go and make a cash withdraw. She then screams at me "Get out of MY office" and she is "no longer working on my case". This was all in plain view of both clients and coworkers. I have NEVER experienced such a blatant display of unprofessionalism in my life! None of this is made up, and almost brought me to tears, as I walked out of the office. To think a woman with a law degree would chastise a client of hers like a child in front of both clients and staff is appalling! This after me having already paid thousands of dollars. There are many lawyers out there who wont treat people like a piece of trash and I STRONGLY recommend anyone go elsewhere. I have retained a new firm and are in the process of contacting the ARDC, as no one regardless of circumstance should be humiliated , especially in front of clients and coworkers, completely and utterly unacceptable. Buyer beware!

Mr. Gravel recommended procedures and processes that other attorneys did not. I was impressed by his listening skills and his memory of small details of the case after brief review. I am comfortable that Mr. Gravel will bring this matter to a fair result. And I believe it will be reasonable as well. ...He was highly recommended by his peers.

I can't say enough about Lindsay Roalfs and Denis Gravel. I would recommend them in a heartbeat! Lindsay was able to handle a difficult and non-reasonable attorney. Not only that, she listened, cared about my case, and spent numerous hours on my case. The case would never have been settled if it wasn...'t for Lindsay and Denis! When they went into the courtroom, I trusted them and they kept me informed every step of the way. They never proceeded without asking me first. Lindsay answered my emails promptly. I wish I found them sooner. They fought for me all the way. I highly recommend both Lindsay and Denis! Their office staff were warm and professional. When I called, I felt they cared. You don't get that with everyone! I can't thank them enough for all the work they did. I never had to constantly repeat myself with Lindsay. She knew my case so well. Thank you Lindsay and Denis!

Mr. Gravel is a very knowledgeable, personable, thorough and reliable attorney. What separates him from many other attorneys is his patience, great listening skills and compassion. His fees are reasonable and you definitely get a valued service. He communicates well and keeps you up to date on case d...evelopments. His staff is courteous and helpful. Hope to never need him again, but if I do, will not hesitate to retain his services. Excellent experience overall.
