Michael Allen Danforth

Having Mr. Danforth as my legal representation was a very stressful and painful experience! He seemed like a competent and optimistic person during my free consultation, but as soon as the contract was signed and retainer money was paid, he stopped caring about his client and started carefully counti...ng his billable hours. During over a year of using Mr. Danforth’s services, I ended up getting less parenting time than I jaded before with my daughter, while Mr. Danforth was 11k richer. All his court appearances resulted in giving my ex-wife more time to submit requires and overdue documents and me paying for his services. He was terrible with communication and hardly responded ti my text messages or emails. During the phone calls, he talked over and over the same issue, making the call at least three times longer than it should be. And, of course, I was invoiced for these useless discussions. He rise his voice on me, which was for a lawyer with 20+ years of experience, was very unprofessional. A six weeks before the final trial, he informed me that I have to pay him additional 12k in order for him to represent me in court. I ended up hiring a new lawyer and only then, I found out that Mr. Danforth did not submit or filled out majority of the required documents, parenting plan included. If you are looking for a lawyer who is very skilled min taking your money from your pocket, Mr. Danforth is a perfect fit for you. But do not count on any help from him in return.

I recently went through a divorce and unfortunately, my experience with my attorney was extremely disappointing. From the outset, it felt like their focus was more on billable hours and maximizing fees than on the well-being of my children and the overall outcome of the case. Communication was a co...nstant struggle. I often had difficulty getting responses to my questions, and when I did, the explanations were often unclear or dismissive. I felt like I was constantly chasing them for updates, rather than them proactively keeping me informed. More concerning was their handling of matters related to my children. I felt their advice often prioritized a quick resolution or financial gain over what was truly in the best interest of my kids. They didn't seem to grasp the emotional toll this process was taking on them, and I felt like their concerns were often brushed aside. I had hoped for an advocate who would fight for my children's needs, but instead, I felt like they were treated as an afterthought. Ultimately, the entire experience was incredibly stressful and added significantly to the emotional burden of the divorce. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone going through a similar situation, especially if protecting your children is your top priority. It's crucial to find an attorney who is not only knowledgeable and competent, but also genuinely cares about the well-being of your family.

Mr. Danforth graciously gave me over an hour of his time without charging me. He also spoke at length with My sister for no charge as well. He went above and beyond what any lawyer I've met with, was not pushy & didn't ask me for a dime. I unwittingly chose another lawyer and am now hoping to reta...in him. If you are concerned about the one star reviews, don't be. They are all within the same time frame, and seem to have the same grammar style. You can't make everyone happy, but I believe he's a solid dude and will fight for me. I'll update later to inform how things turn out.

I was told he could do everything that I was asking which was just simple family law issues. More time with my kids, and payment of bills owed. After a year I was still in the same predicament however he had over 6K of my hard earned money. He is unorganized, does not return calls and is a mess wh...en having to speak with other opposing lawyer. I know that for a fact family law is above his qualification and time and will just bill you without having proof. He does not keep an actual file on his clients from what I saw and will ignore any and all conversations that require him to work. Stay away from this guy unless you have money to burn.

I hired Michael Danforth and was a huge mistake. Charged me 1400$ for just 1 month. Please look at feedback and reviews before u get a lawyer/attorney specially if you trying to see your son or daughter. Michael Danforth calls me about a month later saying can't find her to serve her paperwork and go...nna be another month roughly. Had to let him go and get a lawyer with great reviews because of my mistake. Reviews do matter.
