Trevor J. Blackmore

Our realtor recommended Mr. Blackmore's firm, Gerais and Associates, to us while purchasing our first home and we got assigned to an attorney. After the inspection there were a few problems with the house such as needing a new roof and some electrical issues. We got a roofing estimate done and forw...arded it to Mr. Blackmore's office. He drafted the attorney letter and was way overzealous. He put one line item for the $30k for a new roof, which included the large sum it would require to remove and reinstall the solar panels on the roof. He then insisted on including that amount in a second line item separately along with a few other much smaller requests. There were a few different issues with the electrical which Mr. Blackmore put in a single line item, to which the sellers would not agree to. Mr. Blackmore put over $40k in concessions in his attorney review letter almost blowing up the deal. As first time home buyers, we trusted the professionals opinions and it almost lost us our dream home. Further, we only recieved a few emails from Mr. Blackmore and had no other contact with him. The rest of the communication was through the office manager Margaret, who was fantastic. Overall, I would not recommend Mr. Blackmore. His inattention to detail and being too eager to ask for the moon almost cost us our dream house.
