Michael David Delcour

Michael Delcour is a highly skilled attorney who specializes in federal litigation, with a focus on cybercrimes, data security breaches, national security, anti-terrorism, and the forensic acquisition and use of digital evidence. He has extensive experience in handling various types of cases, including internal investigations, federal tax defense, complex civil litigation, securities fraud, asset forfeiture litigation, white-collar fraud cases, and cybercrime and forensic IT investigations. Michael has also played a crucial role in leading forensic IT teams during critical incident responses following data breaches. He brings a unique perspective to cybercrime investigations, combining his expertise in federal litigation and criminal trial practice. Some representative cases that showcase Michael's capabilities include his representation of Platte River Networks, the technology services provider for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, during the federal and congressional investigations into Clinton's email server. He successfully secured an acquittal for a contractor accused of insurance fraud by State Farm and other carriers in a six-week federal jury trial. Michael also obtained the dismissal of charges against a Denver chef accused of felony assault with a deadly weapon and defended a Canadian citizen facing multiple counts of sexual assault, resulting in the case being dismissed after a two-day preliminary hearing in Denver. Additionally, he represented the president of a construction firm accused of illegal exports to an embargoed country, avoiding IEEPA charges and OFAC fines.
