Lawrence P. Kropp

Mr. Lawrence Kropp handled a routine, uncontested probate. I was named executor in the will. Throughout the year-long process he was rude to me and other professionals such as the accountant and realtor. He provided minimal guidance. Kropp often waited weeks to acknowledge receiving my documents or ...to answer my e-mails. His work preparing deeds and inventories was sloppy and contained errors which had to be corrected by myself and other professionals before completion. When we initially met, Kropp stated orally that he charged $200 per hour. Later when he discovered the assets involved, he changed his projected billing fee to up to 1 ½ per cent of the gross value of the estate, about five times the original estimate. I objected and requested an itemized list of services rendered He eventually complied. Working with him was unpleasant and stressful.
