Posted by Eric | March 31, 2026 | Hired Attorney | Civil Rights

public defenders generally have a bad attitude towards representing somebody's constitutional rights

I gave him specific instructions on it but areas of a traffic stop to focus on in order to protect my appeal rights and my constitutional and civil claims he wrote a 15-page brief in support of suppressing and dismissing the case because it was based on an awful expansion at the stop upon learning a...bout the drivers probation status. seems to the lawyer relied on the police officer narrative as the factual sequence of events even though I pointed out to him in a timeline of events and statements that took place during the traffic stop pointed out exactly where the officer lied and his probable cause statement implying that he noticed some impairment factors before learning about me being on probation and abandoning the speeding stop to investigate my history after being informed I was on probation. Mr Alex dilabo just plain did not raise the issues as I specified that I wanted to be raised and preserved for a appealable issues in later civil and federal claims against officers and employing agencies

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
