Michael T. Rengel

Mike Rengel joined the firm in 1985 and continues to practice employment law, school law, and personal injury law as a partner in the Fergus Falls location.  Mike takes pride in servicing a broad clientele located in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Canada, and is also licensed to practice in Iowa and Wisconsin.  Mike feels his strength as an attorney comes from his willingness to listen and offer advice and direction in the best interests of the client.

Originally from St. Cloud, Mike graduated from St. Cloud State University before attending William Mitchell College of Law, where he received his law degree. 

Mike is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Otter Tail County Bar Association, Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, North Dakota Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Minnesota School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys.  He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts, in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Iowa and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Previously, Mike served as a board chair of the statewide "Client Security Board" appointed by the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Community activities are an important part of Mike's life.  In addition to serving as a volunteer committee member for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Mike is active in Our Lady of Victory Church and St. Elizabeth’s Church.  He and his wife, Carol, are very involved with their children: Nathan, Anna, Rebecca, and Zachary, and their granddaughter, Lauren. 

Mike's special interests include wildlife habitat renovation, hunting, fishing, and anything that takes him outdoors!
