JoEllen took on our case and used a portion of our retainer, then dropped the case because she didn't want to file against the person assigned as the administrator of the will. Why did she do this? Because the mentioned administrator was a friend of JoEllen's. She knew this from the time she took ...the case and should not have taken on the case. As our fiduciary agent she is required to represent her client, and only her client. While she did return the balance of the retainer, her actions has cost us time. One interesting charge is the cost of JoEllen to speak with her friend, the administrator, on the phone. The net result is we have retained a real law firm with a full staff that charges less per hour, and did more work for us in an effort to gain our business.

We had a trust agreement drawn when we lived in another state and this needed amendment as well as our wills and health care directives. This was accomplished in a very orderly and timely manner.
