Mr. Peterson: The details of your review above are simply false. You contacted me by phone recently over the lunch hour when I had locked up for a few minutes to get some lunch. I was then, as I am now, well aware of who you are. You first inquired as to why I was not in my office. I explained the situation. You then inquired as to whether I would be able assist in a matter that is outside if my area of practice. I am not certain as to whether this case involved you or someone else, as you gave me no details other than the nature of the case. I explained that I do not do that type of work. You then stated that “surely one of [my] colleagues would be able to handle [the case]”. Unfortunately, there are very few attorneys that practice in the area of law that you had referenced, and none that I’m aware of locally. As I was explaining that to you, you shouted into the phone, calling me a liar, and then hung up. I attempted to call you back immediately, but you did not answer and your voicemail was full so I was unable to leave a message. Our entire conversation lasted less than a minute and I was certainly not rude. Quite frankly, the only things that I said were that I was not currently in the office as I had stepped away for lunch, that I did not practice in the area of law that you were looking for, and the statement I noted above regarding the fact that I am not aware of any local attorney that handles the type of case you were inquiring about. You abruptly terminated our conversation in the middle of my last comment. As for your allegations that I have paid for reviews, that is also completely false. I have never paid for any review. I am proud of the level of client satisfaction that we have achieved over the last twenty plus years and that our review history reflects that. Additionally, I am not aware of anyone that has ever called me the nickname you reference in your review. While I can only speculate as to why a person would call me that particular name, other than the convenience of a simple rhyme, I do know that I take my ethical obligations very seriously and I do care for my clients. I do everything I can to obtain the best possible results for them. As a result, I believe the firm has a good reputation in the community. Lastly, as is evident from my effort to reach back out to you after you hung up during our last conversation, I am still willing to provide some general advice to you regarding your options for retaining counsel, should you be interested. If that is the case, please contact me. Otherwise, I wish you well in your efforts in that regard.
