Do not pick this attorney

I obtained this lawyer for a firearms restoration. Petition. My petition was granted and I was told by him that I was good to go. He instructed me to purchase firearms and I was told I was 100% legal. A year later it turns out that wasn’t the case. I still had problems and it turned out I actu...ally wasn’t actually legal. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever been through. It caused so much anxiety , stress and suffering and all because he did not know the law. But claimed he did. Granted this was a specialty case but I was told he could handle it . Turns out he knows nothing about firearm law in MN air WI. DO NOT OBTAIN this attorney for firearms restoration purposes. Go with a specialty attorney . Sure he was 5 times cheaper but I could have gone to prison because of him and his bullahit legal advice. & that’s completely unacceptable from a professional standpoint. I was given incorrect legal advice every single time I spoke with him. One time after the other after the other . A literal fuckin nightmare.

Thanks for the review. I am sorry you are disappointed in the outcome. I disagree with your claim(s). You retained me to represent you in a firearms restoration hearing. We had the hearing and the Judge granted your request after we presented your case. I was very clear with you on every point of the law. If you wish to discuss further, please contact me.

Here's why you should choose Stocke Law Office!

I received a DUI around 3-4 yrs ago, the summer after I graduated high school. It was an especially controversial case and I made sure I chose a good lawyer. After talking to a few acquaintances, I went with Chris, and looking back I'm extremely happy with my choice. Chris was with my case for 3 1/2... years until it finally ended in April of 2014. In all that time, he kept me updated especially well on everything happening with my case. Chris is a smart guy, and a good one. He never took the easy way out, and always provided with a plethora of options on every decision. He understood that I was in school looking for a promising career without being held back by an iffy DUI charge. He worked extremely hard with my case to bring it to trial, and to be honest I really believe we had a great chance to win if I didn't take a last minute deal. He was excited about it, which Is awesome to see, I knew he really took a great passion with his work. I can truly say that Chris is an awesome lawyer who will give you a fighting chance and work his tail off for you. The other thing, he's got an awesome personality, it was always easy talking with him. No matter what the subject was. I didn't waste a dime choosing Stocke Law Office. I would recommend him to my closest of friends and family. And if you're thinking about choosing Chris, stop... and just do it! He's worth it, I promise you won't regret your decision.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
