My particular divorce case was complicated. It was a high conflict and I had reached out to Sara, before she even knew who I was, she was doing her best to help me. I had not paid or hired her yet. I did end up retaining Sara. Sara, didnt start at the beginning, she had to play catch up and come in ...the middle. She handled it with class and composure. She and her team kept me in the loop the whole time. They answered every question I had and made me feel like I was in the best of care. Sara didn't just go to bat for for me, she went above and beyond. I put all my faith into Sara and she didn't let me down. She also was very good at explaing the lawyer lingo when I didn't understand. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer/human being, she knows her stuff! She is the best of the best in my opinion. I was involved in a high conflict divorce, and Sara Swanson did not advocate for me -- if anything she added fuel to the fire and prolonged the process. Sara did not explain legal issues to me, was not timely with communication, and did not get required financial documents from my ex-husband. When ...she did receive important documentation it was not sent to me until I called and requested it. Multiple times during the divorce process she emailed me documents that she should have completed, but told me in the interest of saving money I should do it myself. Sara pushed me to have a custody evaluation, and the results were less than pleasing to me, and when I expressed by displease to Sara after she simply emailed me the decision she threatened to drop me as a client. After almost a year and a half, I changed council, and my new attorney had me divorced in three weeks.
