Teresa J. Ayling

Teresa J. Ayling brings more than 25 years of legal experience to her work in general civil litigation, employment and labor law, and contract law. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and is MSBA Certified Labor and Employment specialist.

Employers and employees alike rely on Teresa for counsel and representation. She regularly advises small businesses on employment issues in an effort to prevent legal problems. In addition, she has defended small businesses against claims brought for sex discrimination, sexual harassment, race discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract, interference with contractual relations, and other issues.

Teresa represents individuals as well, providing legal advice to employees who have experienced a variety of difficulties on the job or who have been fired from their jobs. She has represented employees in claims of sex discrimination, race discrimination, national origin discrimination, sexual preference discrimination, disability discrimination, civil rights violations, breach of contract, whistleblowing, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and other related claims.
 

In claims involving non-compete agreements, defamation, military leave benefits and related issues, Teresa represents both businesses and individuals.

She also represents individuals with disability insurance-related claims, such as persons whose long-term disability insurance benefits have been denied. Clients with professional licensing issues, including nurses and other healthcare professionals, also rely on Teresa for representation before their licensing boards.
