I am a father of 2 children Son(17) and Daughter(5). I was in a situation that I did not have a high expectation of persuading the court to rule in favor of my position. Single Father and all in MN. I presented my position to Richard in the comfort of their office, after interviewing multiple fir...ms here in the twin cities, some of which even charged for me to find out that I did not feel comfortable with them representing my family. I had a clear line of communication with my lawyer any time I had a concern. I had a response back within the same day, if not 24hours. After collecting all necessary information, Richard and I set expectations and laid out a strategy we both, mostly Richard agreed upon. I felt like I was doing the right thing. I wasn’t even going to fight this fight. I felt comfortable with the expectation and we engaged the process at the correct time. It was very apparent that Richard has done this many times. He was very natural, confident, and comfortable in the court room. By this time however, so much work had been done that I was even feeling relieved to be in the court room. The documentation that was presented was done so well that the court made its decision in less than 30 days. I also should mention that it was drafted in such a way that even an appeal process would be very unlikely to cause concern. In the end the court did rule in favor of my position and even enforced some peripheral items that I had no intention or expectation of ever getting made right. If you want a firm with exceptional results (single father getting ruled in favor for 5 yr old daughter for example) this is a firm you should spend some time with, and share your story with any one of the staff. I started with a phone interview with Jeff Priest and was very impressed. I even called a second time for a bit more insight then came in and really got to know the team. It may cost a few dollars yes, but this is a life decision and they are big picture folks. And on that note, I would also add that no price can be put on giving a child the best opportunity possible, yet the cost of doing so with Priest Law Firm was much less than I ever expected. Thank you! Thank you! Not much more can be done but invite this team to a family dinner in 25 years when my daughter is doing whatever she achieves!

Richard has been working on my family law case for some time now. From our first meeting, I felt that he had a good understanding of my concerns and would be a strong advocate for me. When I feel anxious about my case, Richard takes the time to explain why he's recommended a certain course of action,... which goes a long way in helping me to feel confident in his counsel and our case. I feel comfortable asking basic questions because he never makes me feel bad for not already knowing the answer. I also feel that he is very efficient with his time, which keeps costs down. My case is complicated so I have asked him to handle the bulk of the details and communication. I've been pleasantly surprised when my invoices come in every month, the total always less than what I expect. I've never seen a charge with which I didn't agree. Additionally, Richard is always quick to return my calls and emails, regardless of how busy he might be. I don't feel like a number in his caseload, which I appreciate very much. I'd also like to add that everyone I've met in this office is friendly and helpful. They take a team approach to their cases and they will know who you are when you call or come in. I am profoundly grateful to everyone at this firm.

Richard is all about the money and directs his clients to go against court orders which could put you at risk of getting in trouble with the courts. He will lie to proof his case and cover up his lies. Instead of being an honest lawyer and directing his clients to do what is right, he rather make fam...ilies suffer to benefit himself. I would go with a lawyer who is going to be open, honest and at least TRY to keep things civil for the sake of ALL who is involved. He loves the drama and any lawyer who loves to make things worse for his clients and all who are involved (even children) should not be lawyer. He would rather destroy in innocent father than help resolve civil matters the right way.
