Kristin Ann Huston

I focus exclusively on family law matters, including divorces and custody/parenting time actions. I have 22 years of experience as an attorney, and have been practicing family law exclusively for the past 18 years. During that time, I have seen many changes in our family courts, particularly in the way family cases are handled by the Court system. In my practice, I use my years of experience and knowledge of the law to guide my clients towards the best possible outcome in their case. I believe in trying to make the process easier for my clients by explaining their legal rights and options, and providing them with an accurate portrayal of what might occur in their case if we proceed through the court system (litigation) or proceed through various settlement processes (mediation, early neutral evaluation, etc.). I would describe my "practice style" as trying to resolve cases amicably while being a strong advocate for my client and providing my client with knowledgeable advice about the legal process. 

My practice areas include: complex contested divorces, uncontested divorces, establishment and modification of child custody, establishment and modification of child support, paternity, post-decree modifications of spousal maintenance, immigration issues involved in the divorce process (I-864 Affidavits of Support), preparation of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO's), orders for protection (domestic abuse), harassment restraining orders, step-parent adoption, third-party custody actions, grandparent visitation, and preparation and review of prenuptial (antenuptial) agreements.
