I did not feel Betsy adequately looked out for my best interests. She is too close to the mediator in her office to be completely unbiased, and seemed focused on ramming through a settlement even if it was NOT in her client's interest. She changed property valuation dates to my disadvantage just to... "settle" the case favorably for the other party. I can only suspect that settling helps with peer reviews in the family law community. She lacks tenacity in handling tough mediators and other counsel. She did not appear to be well versed in tax issues involving children. She is probably good if you can divorce collaboratively with your -ex...however, I have yet to meet anyone who has done that successfully.
